QT's Outreach Project

QTs outreach has been set up to run along side QT's drop-in by interacting with young parents and parents-to-be (UNDER 21) in the local community before they become involved in the QTs drop-in.

We will be working along side health visitors and mid-wives in the local area and will be attending the baby clinic at the Haywards Heath Health Centre in Heath Road, Haywards Heath on a Friday morning, and The Brow Clinic, Burgess Hill on Tuesday afternoons.

We will soon be in the Orchards Shopping Centre, Haywards Heath and The Band Stand in Church Walk, Burgess Hill.

As a project we aim:-

• To meet with young parents and parents-to-be and offer support with the hope to encourage them to attend the qts drop-in so that they are able to meet and chat with other young parents and parents-to-be.
• To stop the barriers of feeling isolated and alone when bring up a child at a young age.
• To be available to attend appointments with the young parents if they feel uncomfortable going alone.
• To help them to gather any information they feel necessary to help them with there personal and parenting skills.
• To assist young parents and parents-to-be when contacting services.

We will also be on hand if a young parent just needs to talk and needs someone to listen.
